When I was a child, the first thing I designed was a Candle-Powered Robot. The heat of the candle from the heart provided the necessary energy for all the movements. I was 3 years old.

I’t still the project I’m more proud of.

Women!

Posted by: paka In: ludiko

Donne!!!

Women!!! We have one thousand shoes nevertheless that one there, really that one misses us! And we must buy it ! We need not enough a cupboard, two either ! We need an enormous room, which we can fill with clothes and shoes !!! And it is not our fault… it is in this way that we grew up ! When we was child, we played and we made crazy about these numerous, very beautiful and gleaming miniature shoes!

“Tick tock on the Milan clock”

Posted by: ludiko boy In: ludiko

The KiùTimer Game

Numero di giocatori: fino a 15.
Età consigliata: da 4 anni.
Terreno: piatto.
Number of players: up to 15.
Age recommended: from 4.
Playing field: flat.
Aim: the game consists in controlling and coordinating its movement inside a given duration, always different, since the measure of time is not scanned by a chronometer, but by a counter of a public office
Initial arrangement: a player stands behind the counter of a public office, with his/her shoulders against all other players that stand a few meters away, along a horizontal line.
Game playing:
– The player at counter (the KiùTimer) starts playing by saying: “Tick tock on the Milan clock” and only at the end of the sentence can he/she turn towards the other players. While he/she pronounces the sentence the others move towards the counter to reach it and touch it.
– When the player who pronounces the sentence turns and sees somebody still moving, he/she sends him/her back to the starting point.
– The first player who reaches the cunter and touches it wins and takes the place at the counter.
– “Musical statues” variant. In this game variant the sentence pronounced by the KiùTimer changes into: ”Musical statues”; in addition he/she can provoke the statues, approaching them.
They have to stand still without giving up on feints or dramatization of the KiùTimer

a MODO mio

Posted by: paka In: ludiko

archivio Ludiko – MODO 2005 by Silvana Annicchiarico

“Perhaps we  have to start learning from children. From thier way of relating to the world, their attitude to space and time, their mode of interacting with objects. For example, when they play, very often, small children are not really intersted in the objects specially designed to stimulate their interest. They prefer – perhaps paradoxically – any everyday item (a cork, a piece of string, a plastic bottle, a piece of fabric), that is removed from its original function and used as a method of learning and as a tool for the imagination. In this way, children unconsciously but surprisingly create a sort of “ready made”,  They isolate an object from its context and function, and they give it new meaning in the realm of play. This is an important lesson that should be given for more attention and study than in the case today.   In any sort of game, at whatever strage of life, there is a sort of challenge to common sense and ordinary reality. Play requires a shif in approach and the attribution of new functions.  Possibly the object used in play is liberated, with the intention and hope of rendering it useful for other ends and different functions. Perhaps designing for play means above all moving in this direction, proceeding by leaps of the imagination, having the courage to trascend dogmatic positions and canons, and thinking of unusual relationship between form and function…”

vogue bambini

Posted by: paka In: ludiko

As it was funny to get dressed when we were a child Muck up his Shirt with some sauce, fall and damaging the trousers, and it’s still better when we have just put it! As the Mum was angry!!! Today, in the opposite, it would seem that the children do not exist any more: the smallest already get dressed as the adults! And how will get dressed when they will be adults? It doesn’t remain to hope that they will get dressed as children
